Pannar Kroonstad Extravaganza

The 2026 Pannar Kroonstad Extravaganza was a standout couple of days in the field, bringing farmers together for honest conversations, practical insights and real‑world learning.

With more than 500 visitors over two days at Mariendal Boerdery, farmers had the opportunity to walk the trials, engage with Pannar's agronomy team and see how different hybrids perform under local conditions. 

Charl van der Merwe, Pannar field agronomist, shared valuable trial data and spoke about how crop management practices can make a real difference to yield, while Dr Rikus Kloppers from Robigalia CropCare unpacked the growing challenge of Arrested Ear Development (AED) in maize and what farmers should be watching out for in the field.

The Kroonstad Extravaganza once again showed what these events are all about, combining solid science, local insight and farmer experience to support confident, informed decision‑making. Thanks to everyone who joined us and helped make it such a worthwhile and engaging event.
