Multi-cobbing yellow maize in Excelsior

We recently received an exciting video of multi-cobbing yellow maize plants thriving on a farm in Excelsior. With the support of Pannar’s Bloemfontein representative, Alex van der Watt, farmer MP Wessels selected the PAN 4R-838BR hybrid, planted at 18,000 plants per hectare.

This platform, which now includes PAN 4R-538R and PAN 4P-938PW, has performed well under a wide range of plant populations and yield potentials. Strong emergence and seedling vigour give these hybrids an early advantage. The new PAN 4P-938PW with PowerCore™ technology provides broad-spectrum protection against above-ground lepidopteran pests, stacked with glyphosate herbicide-tolerant technology for premium insect and weed control.
