PAN 5R-582R: A Prolific and Versatile Medium-Early Yellow Hybrid

Nico Barnard, Pannar's agronomist in the central Highveld, shared this beautiful planting of PAN 5R-582R at Henry Jansen van Rensburg in the Warden district, demonstrating strong prolificacy. Henry planted PAN 5R-582R at 35 000 plants per hectare. Under the favourable conditions experienced, it consistently produced two ears per plant. Nico also mentioned how impressed he is with the hybrid's wide area adaptability and good disease tolerance.

PAN 5R-582R, which is the stablemate of PAN 5A-182, is well adapted for all the production areas. The platform is a yield leader and can be planted with confidence. It produces excellent quality flinty grain with good bushel weight and a golden yellow colour that is very popular with merchants.
