North-western Free State (Topsoil <10% clay):

In the sandy soils of the north-western Free State and North West, the high-potential hybrids PAN 7090 and PAN 7180CLP/PAN 7160CLP form the core of the hybrid package and are complemented by PAN 7100 and PAN 7102CLP.

North West and Limpopo (Topsoil >10% clay):

For the North West and Limpopo production areas, the conventional hybrid PAN 7090 and the Clearfield^® Plus hybrid PAN 7160CLP are recommended as main plantings. PAN 7100, as conventional, and PAN 7102CLP and PAN 7180CLP, as Clearfield^® Plus hybrids, respectively, can be used in a hybrid package with each of the leader hybrids, depending on each land's planned target yield.

Cooler temperate production areas:

In the cooler temperate eastern production areas, the two Clearfield^® Plus hybrids, PAN 7160CLP and PAN 7102CLP, are recommended as the core of the package. If a conventional hybrid is planted, PAN 7080 and PAN 7090 are the designated hybrids of choice if planted in the optimum planting window.
